Music

Playing the bass guitar was my passion decades ago. Started playing in church praise & worship and then got into a Christian rock band. The band was called Counterpoint. We were pretty much a 4 man band, though we did have other folks drift in and out over the 6 years we were together. We played all over England in churches and Saturday Markets. Haven’t really played for a really long time. But my wife let me buy a Music Man Sterling Ray5 a couple of months ago and I’m getting excited about playing in praise & worship again. Got the Alesis Sr-16 drum machine and a Boss GT-100 effects processor to fuel the passion.

After getting my new Ray5 bass, the next thing to look at is a new amplifier rig of some sort. But those are expensive to buy and very heavy to lug around. So I’ve been looking at a more compact solution. The MXR M87 compressor and the Tech 21 SansAmp Programmable Bass Driver DI.
